Colabeton plays a leading role in the construction of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Village

An intervention that goes beyond the sporting event, leaving the Milanese area a tangible legacy of urban, social and environmental development.

The Milan Olympic Village, part of the wider regeneration project of the former Porta Romana railway yard, represents one of the most significant interventions linked to the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The project was designed according to advanced sustainability criteria, with NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) buildings, ensuring high energy performance and a reduced environmental impact. These days, the Village is hosting around 1,700 athletes; after the Games, the area will be redeveloped into a modern university campus, with affiliated residences and services open to the community.

This is a concrete example of urban legacy, capable of transforming a major international event into a lasting opportunity for local, social and environmental development for the Milan area.

In this important project, Colabeton contributed by supplying approximately 27,000 m³ of concrete, helping to create structures destined to become a benchmark for the Milan of the future.
