A recognition of the company’s industrial contribution and strategic role in Tunisian–Italian economic relations.
CAT-Colacem (Les Ciments Artificiels Tunisiens) received an important award last night from the Tunisian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CTICI) during the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the economic partnership between Tunisia and Italy. This award represents a concrete sign of the solidity and continuity of the relationship that links the company to Tunisia’s industrial and institutional landscape.
The ceremony was attended by prominent institutional and political representatives, including the Tunisian Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Wael Chouchane, the Italian Ambassador to Tunis, Alessandro Prunas, the President of CTICI, Mourad Fradi, along with numerous members of the Tunisian-Italian business community who wished to highlight the value of the partnership between the two countries.
Receiving the commemorative plaque was CAT’s General Manager, Giuseppe Colaiacovo, who expressed great satisfaction with this recognition, noting that the award represents not only an acknowledgment of the results achieved but also the value of the economic and cultural relationships built over more than twenty-five years of activity in Tunisia. In his speech, he also recalled the figure of his father, Franco Colaiacovo, whose vision during challenging times and deep belief in Tunisia’s potential were among the driving forces behind this investment. He also thanked CTICI and its president, Mourad Fradi, for the attention given to the company and for their efforts in promoting cooperation between the two countries.
The award received by CAT confirms the importance of the company’s contribution to the development of the construction sector in Tunisia and to the growth of local infrastructure, thanks to continuous investments, the enhancement of skills, and its deep roots in the territory. The ceremony also provided an opportunity to look toward the future with renewed optimism, at a time when cooperation between Tunisia and Italy continues to strengthen through initiatives, projects, and partnerships involving public and private economic actors.
CAT welcomes this recognition as an incentive to continue on the path undertaken, consolidating its role as an industrial bridge between the two countries and contributing to the sustainable growth of the Tunisian economy, with a constant focus on innovation and the future.
