Throughout the entire week of Fuorisalone, visitors had the opportunity to admire the concrete artworks created by students from the art high schools of Perugia, Deruta, Foligno, Spoleto, and Gubbio
Colacem and Colabeton took part in Milan Design Week with a strong focus on creativity, innovation, and sustainability. The two companies presented a rich program of events where concrete, a fundamental material for contemporary architecture, showcased its potential and flexibility in the fields of art and design.
One of the highlights was the talk “Creating the Future: Industry, Concrete, Imagination”, a moment of discussion and insight into the ongoing transformations within both companies. Topics included research and development, sustainability, and new product lines. Representatives from Colacem and Colabeton shared their experiences and latest advancements with the audience, reaffirming the central role of concrete in meeting the evolving challenges of the construction sector.
Following the talk, the event “The Heartbeat of the Factory” captivated attendees with evocative video installations. The visuals, centered around the architectural elements of a Colacem plant, were reinterpreted by various artists and accompanied by an electronic soundtrack curated by DJ Karen Menad.
Throughout Fuorisalone week, visitors were also able to admire concrete artworks created by students from the art high schools of Perugia, Deruta, Foligno, Spoleto, and Gubbio. These pieces were developed as part of the “Material & Imagination” project, promoted by Colacem. The sculptures and compositions, crafted with passion and creativity by young artists, drew great interest from the public. The works demonstrated how concrete, even in this context, can be transformed into an expressive medium—a bridge between industry and creativity.
Colacem and Colabeton's participation in Fuorisalone reflects a strategic choice aligned with their commitment to being active players in innovation and cultural dialogue. It is a tangible sign of their path toward a sustainable transition, where industry goes beyond material production and truly contributes to creating the future.
