The Italian Ambassador in Santo Domingo visits Domicem plant

The Ambassador of the Italian Republic in Santo Domingo, Mr.  Andrea Canepari, visited the Domicem plant of San Cristobal in a factory tour led by the company management.

The visit allowed Ambassador Canepari to see the various steps of cement production process first hand, as well as all the actions and controls put in place by the company in order to ensure product top quality, utmost respect for the environment and the safety of all those involved in the factory daily activities.

Ambassador Canepari could thus appreciate the very high technological level of the plant as well as the great professionalism of the employees and the whole organization, and congratulated with the Italian and Dominican partners for the excellent results achieved, both from an economic view point and in terms of social and environmental responsibility. A sustainable industrial approach that has always driven the Group’s mission as the key factor for the success obtained over the years as well as for catching all the opportunities the Green Economy is offering in various fields and sectors in a country, the Dominican Republic, which is growing steadily and increasingly open to global new challenges.

The CEO of Domicem , Mr. Adriano Brunetti, thanked the Ambassador for his visit and underlined  the company's open attitude towards  dialogue and confrontation as well as  its excellent collaboration with local institutions. The implementation of highly innovative and sustainable technologies and production processes, which are giving great results, have in fact been taken as benchmarks by other companies and foreign investors.
